In summer, boating on Czech rivers such as the Vltava, Sázava and Berounka is popular. Swimming is also a common pastime in the country’s many ponds, lakes, swimming pools, and water parks. Cycling is made easy due to the a large number of cycle paths in the country, many of which also lead through wine-growing areas. If you are an avid hiker, the country’s many national parks, protected areas, caves, rock towns, observation towers, lookout points, parks, and castles are all worth a visit.

In winter, ski resorts throughout the country come to life. Visit the Krnonoše, Kuršné hory and Šumava Mountains in Bohemia and the Jeseníky and the Carpathian Mountains in Moravia for skiing, snowboarding, and all sorts of winter fun.
