Relative to its size, the Czech Republic is among largest export economies in the world, exporting three fourths of its output. The top exports of the Czech Republic include cars, vehicle parts, computers, broadcasting equipment, and office machine parts. Its top imports are machinery, equipment and related components, raw materials, fuels, and chemicals.

The Czech Republic has been a WTO member since 1 January 1995. As of 1 May 2004, the Czech Republic has also been a member state of the European Union (EU). All EU member states are WTO members.

The top export destinations of the Czech Republic are Germany, Slovakia, Poland, France, and the United Kingdom. The top countries from which it sources imports are Germany, Poland, Slovakia, and Italy.
